Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

As a C++ Senior Software Engineer at NinjaOne you will be designing, implementing and maintaining features within our newest product suites. Use your expert C++ experiences to enrich our Escalations and Sustaining software development team. Working closely with our product development teams you will work on new features across product lines that are critical to our customers, our product managers, and our sales team. Working with code that is not functioning as expected, providing simple fixes as well as creating sprints to develop new features, and integrations, needed for the products overall success.

We use the latest and greatest technology. Our first love is programming and everything we do is in service of that, you'll be working with the latest versions of everything including compilers and language standards. We never want to lag behind and we make constant improvement of our code base a focal point. Our teams are dedicated solely to the task of architecture and technology upgrades and implementations. You will work in an agile team-based environment with frequent iteration and rapid Customer Focused results. A product that will support all modern hypervisors, SAAS products, traditional configuration and more. Location - we are flexible on remote working from home, if you are located in the USA and in one of the following states- TX, FL, NC, GA or ME. We have physical offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL

What You’ll be Doing

• Design and code new software IT operations products.

• Maintain and improve current applications.

• Support maintenance programming for existing versions.

• Work closely with our clients to analyze product for a client focused satisfaction of usability.

• Other duties as needed.

About You

• MUST HAVE - 5+ years of C++ or C development experience.

• MUST HAVE - extensive experience working with low-level API's on at least two major operating systems; Win (Windows XP-Windows 10), Mac (Mac OSX (Cocoa, etc..) and Linux.

• MUST HAVE - previous experience with either Visual Studio, XCode, QtCreator

• MUST HAVE - Git versioning control experience

• MUST HAVE - linux experience including; shell scripting, rpm and deb packaging.

• MUST HAVE - experience with utilizing CMake to generate builds.

• MUST HAVE - experience communicating directly with customers or be able to.

• BIG PLUS - experience with JSON, Javascript, Java

• BIG PLUS - experience using SQL-Lite integration

• BIG PLUS - knowledge and experience working with AWS or similar cloud services.

• BIG PLUS - experience using SQL, Postgres, MSSQL, or a similar technology.

• BIG PLUS - experience with Native Win32 API.

• BIG PLUS - embedded development experience
